Basically, what Constantine said. I usually look at the lyrical themes on Metal-Archives first. I’m fine listening to stuff that doesn’t fit my worldview, I just don’t want a bunch of blasphemy or pornographic nonsense in my lyrics.

I also want to say thank you, KK, for this opportunity! It’s been a lot of fun already.

Guys, y’all be sleeping on this cool chance to hear new music and reflect on it!

I appreciate your continual updates to the thread. As far as the releases, personally I'm not looking for them to be exciting, as in big-name bands or anything like that. I'm mostly looking for quality & interesting music and it doesn't matter to me if the band has 3 listeners or 3,000,000.

I do try to spot-check each band offered to see what they sound like. If I find something interesting and worth the time and energy, my next hurdle is dealing with the band's worldview/lyrics/image/etc. If it's just a lot of "666" or "We Hate Everyone And Want To Kill Them" stuff then I generally stay away - mainly because I'm hoping to find something more artful and inspired instead of tired clichés and/or just expressions of pure emotion. I also have to figure out how much of my own worldview I should be inserting and how to approach bands whose music I might like, but whose worldview I might be utterly opposed to.

It's tricky and I'm still trying to find a balance.

Is a mix of Shania Twain wannabes and a Dominican rapper in the mix.

The press release reads:

Warrior by Lovebugs is a tribute to all women that have the courage and strength to fight for what matters the most; love, compassion, equality and justice for those who cannot fight their own battle. It’s a song inspired by the Norwegian woman, Siv Mika Engebretsen, and her work with and for Amigitos foundation in the Dominican Republic. It’s a song about keeping the faith throughout difficult times. The Dominican rapper El Tampa’s guest appearance in the song, reinforce the message and gives the song a caribbean vibe.

Absolutely, I'll walk you through the process of submitting reviews.
I believe you're interested in reviews those 4 albums. Son of Num asked for Skeletal Remains, and I already sent it his way a few days ago. However, I haven't received any feedback from him about whether he was able to download the files. I'll be sending you the other three shortly (I'm putting in a request with the site's editor). If I don't hear back from Son of Num in the next few days, I'll also assign Skeletal Remains to you.
