Favorite non-metal genre

And no, hard rock does not count
I'll go with classical, even tough I never really listen to it. I just prefer metal with classical influences (whether the riffs have a neo-classical tinge like Tourniquet, or there are classical sections like Believer)

Progressive rock.
Powerpop is up there as well.
Both can cross into hard rock territory though.
