“Buildup” songs

I tend to really like metal songs that start out softer, and gradually build up to become fast and/or heavy. Some examples along these lines are Adorned Graves’ Towards a River, Metallica’s One, Avantasia’s The Raven Child, and Pethead’s favorite song (The Gift of Music). Does anybody have good recommendations for more songs like this?

One is my #1 all-time song... As I've said like a million times already lol

I have a couple planned, like Dark Sunshine (though that goes back to being soft at the very end), Far From the Poisoned One, and My Own Baby... But I'm having a hard time thinking on more... Ig Fade to Black and Sanitarium count, though you obv already know those

In My Darkest Hour fits the bill; possibly Megadeth's greatest song.

I admire your effort, but I take issue with War Pigs - it takes off full throttle by the second verse.  

Never thought of Heaven and Hell this way, but I suppose you're right. it does kinda start out heavy though.

I was going to list Stage of Intensity at first, but it goes full bore pretty early in the song so I refrained.  It does have points of fitting the bill anyway.

Wow. I like songs like this as well. Pretty hard to find new additions as you guys look like you have found them all already. But there's one I don't think has been mentioned yet: When Darkness Reigns from Project 86's first album.

The music video version is a lot shorter but the album version has a loooong buildup from a ballad into a full on thrash ending.

EDIT:
I remembered this wrong. The album version changes in the middle of the song while the music video version that's a few minutes shorter gets into the thrash stuff in the last third of the song.
